Products: setting availability on the webshop

There are several ways to control whether products are available on the webshop, depending on the specific situation.

We distinguish three options: removing a product from the webshop, marking a product as unavailable, or marking a product as not always available.

Removing products from the webshop

If you want a product to no longer be visible (for example, seasonal products), you can hide it from the website without deleting it from your database.

You can remove a product from the webshop by unchecking its availability.

Once unchecked, the product disappears from the website.

You do this via Products → Availability, where you can enable or disable all products. In the example, we start with the product Fanta.

Marking a product as unavailable

When a product is out of stock, you can indicate this on the website without removing the product. This prevents customers from continuing to search for the product, which can happen if it is completely removed.

You can configure this on the product detail page in the management interface.

When the product is unchecked here, it will appear as unavailable.

Tip: Don’t forget to check it again once the product is back in stock.

Marking products as not always available

This is a useful feature for products that are only available on certain days. You can select these days on the product detail page (see previous screenshot), so the product cannot be ordered on other days.

You can manage this via Products → Availability, where you can enable or disable availability per product. In the example, we start with the product Fanta.
